Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) and Fast login
To maintain high security standards and comply with the Second European Payment Services Directive (PSD2), accessing the Fabrick Dashboard requires all users to authenticate using two factors (2FA SCA): their user credentials and a One Time Password (OTP).
It is also possible for each user to enable a Fast Login option to speed up the login process.
The access flows to the Fabrick Dashboard via SCA 2FA and Fast login are described below.
Login to Fabrick Dashboard with Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)
After entering the credentials on the Fabrick Dashboard login page and clicking 'Access', the user will be instructed to enter a second authentication factor - an OTP (One Time Password) code received via SMS to the phone number configured in their user profile:
- The OTP code will be valid for 5 minutes (upon receiving the SMS). Should it expire, click on “Send again” to receive a new code.
- Attempts to enter the OTP code are limited to 4. Should this threshold be exceeded, the operation will be cancelled and the login will have to be started again.
- If you do not receive the SMS with the OTP code, wait a few minutes and click on “Send again”. If the problem persists, please contact technical support.
Once the code has been entered, it will be possible to click on "Confirm and Login" and login to the Fabrick Dashboard.
If the Fast Login option has been enabled by ticking the corresponding box, only the password will be required for subsequent logins, bypassing OTP verification.
How can Administrator Users disable Fast Login
The box for enabling Fast Login is displayed by default to all users at the time of access. However, users with the Administrator role will still have the option to disable its display, if desired, for themselves and for all users linked to a merchant or a group of merchants
To do this, go to the Settings section of the Dashboard and, within the Security box, click the edit icon next to Fast Login
Then, choose to disable the possibility of access via Fast Login for all users linked to a merchant or a group of merchants, and save the configuration by clicking Done.
The Fast Login option can only be disabled by the Administrator user. Users with the Manager and Operator roles are not authorized to make this change.
For Manager and Operator users, the box to enable Fast Login will be displayed by default at login. However, it will not be shown if the Administrator of the merchant, or merchant group to which the user belongs, decides to make it unavailable.
Logging in to Fabrick Dashbord with Fast Login
Once the Fast Login option has been enabled by ticking the activation box at login, users will be able to access the Fabrick Dashboard without two-factor authentication.
When logging in, the 'E-mail' field will already be filled in with the e-mail address associated with the user enabled for Fast Login, and only the password will be required.
To access the Fabrick Dashboard with a different user name than the one previously saved, click on "Use a different account" and re-initialise the two-factor authentication login.
